The October 1994 conference was the fifth in a series of annual October Astrophysics Conferences in Maryland. The subject chosen for the conference was "Dark Matter." The proceedings begin with two invited summaries reviewing the general subject, followed by sessions on low mass stars as dark matter, dark matter in galaxies, dark matter in clusters, gravitational lensing as a probe of dark matter, the large scale distribution and motions of galaxies, cold and hot dark matter, cosmic microwave background anisotropy and dark matter, and alternative approaches to the dark matter problem. The proceedings conclude with a summary and an appendix of physical constants. Annotation copyright Book News, Inc. Portland, Or.
