Wellness is defined as our overall good health, and the condition sustained by healthy eating and fitness habits. Fitness is being able to deal with the daily stresses of life, have good physical and mental health, especially when maintained by proper diet, exercise, and habits. Wellness and fitness are totally different conditions. Successful aging consists of three components: (1) low probability of disease or disability, (2) high cognitive and physical function capacity, and (3) active engagement with life.
