Collectible - Acceptable

Charlottesville, Virginia: University of Virginia, 1948. Sm 4to hardcover in plain red cloth with gilt titling to spine. 357pp. Several simple B/W diagrams. Near good, lacking jacket. Spine lightly sunned and gilt a bit tarnished. Page edges toned. Three small damp spots, each about the size of a grain of rice, to fore-edge. Spine loose, with rear pastedown beginning to peel up from spine. Rectangle of moderate adhesion damage to front and rear pastedowns, and early owner's name inked to front pastedown. The book has been heavily if neatly underlined and annotated with pencil throughout, with one or two minor markings in ink. Includes a few notes from the original owner laid in.
