Fair book. Maroon cloth with gilt spine lettering. Lightly bumped corners. Boards soiled. Moderate chipping to the crown, foot and left top-edge of the rear board. Spine toned. Dustsoiling to the top-edge. Fore-edge and bottom-edge foxed. Pages age toned. Heavy chipping to the bottom corner of the first two pages. Previous owner's blue rubber stamp to the title page and pages 100 and 392. Early owner's inked signature and date: 'Joe Hogan // april 8, 1912' to the upper front free endpaper. Typical period foxing throughout. Rear hinge cracked. With 'Compliments of J. A. Bensel State Engineer and Surveyor' bookplate to the center left of the front free endpaper.
