Pale yellow paper title label to front board, with dark red text and decorative border and dividers. 173pp+ads. Good. Title label toned, scraped to edges and moderately soiled. Previous owner's name written and scratched out in pencil to top of title label. Spine slanted and boards quite faded to spine and edges of rear board. Spine tips fraying and bottom fore-corners skinned and frayed. Edges of text block very shallowly silverfished. 420 written in blue pencil and scratched out with red to top left corner of front pastedown, with purple stamp from the Brooklyn Oratorio Society below. About 4x1-inch damp stain to front pastedown to bottom of hinge, with pastedown loosening from board. Light foxing throughout and intermittent pencil marginalia and notation.
