This memoir recounts retired U.S. Marine Corps Major General Punaro’s life and time in three theaters: the Vietnam War (infantry platoon commander); the Senate (Director of the Senate Armed Services Committee (SACS); the corporate world (top industry executive, and CEO). As a Marine infantry platoon commander in Vietnam he won the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. After the War he still kept in touch as Director of the Senate Armed Services Committee (SACS). A sample of some of the major defense and intelligence legislation he oversaw was the first Gulf War, Iran-Contra, and Tailhook.
