This study guide teaches 300 vocabulary words for the SAT test using the super-mnemonics method, which links the sound of each word to a picture illustrating the meaning of the word. For example, the word "heresy" is illustrated by a b&w cartoon of a bald man running from stone-throwing villagers, with the caption reading, "In the village of Hair-a-Sea, it's heresy not to have hair." Below the illustration are three sentences using the word in standard contexts. The words have been selected from the Barron's High-Frequency and Hot Prospects word lists, and all 300 appear regularly on the sentence completion and reading section of the SAT test. The words are divided into 25 units, with quizzes at the end of each. Answers and a word list are also included. Author information is not given.
