Pretty salesgirl Dorothy Brooks is falsely accused of shoplifting lingerie by store manager, Mr. Dickman, who's intent on seducing her in return for his silence. She pushes him away as he manhandles her, and he accidentally falls from a second-story window. Wanted by the police for both theft and assault, Dorothy leaves town and hides out in a hotel, where she crosses paths with dashing Donald Cabot. The two fall madly in love, but her secret past threatens to destroy their happy future.Snappy dialogue brightens this brisk romantic romp starring Charles Starrett and Dorothy Wilson. In 1936, a year after making Dangerous Appointment, Starrett signed with Columbia Pictures, where he made over 100 westerns, most famously as the "Durango Kid." That same year, 1932 Wampas Baby Star, Dorothy Wilson, married screenwriter Lewis Foster. She abandoned her film career in 1937 to devote full time to raising a family. Director Frank Strayer is probably best known for the 1930s horror classic, The Vampire Bat, and his series of "Blondie" movies with Penny Singleton.
